History of AAA Moving & Storage

AAA Moving & Storage, Inc. began operations on September 1, 1983 in Anchorage, Alaska. The company began operation in a 2,000 square foot warehouse, with two RED TRUCKS and three employees.

In December 1983, the company moved into its current headquarters warehouse at 717 E. Ship Creek Avenue in Anchorage and added three full time employees to its payroll.

The company continued to grow in Anchorage and in 1985 AAA Moving & Storage expanded into Fairbanks.  Then in 1987 the company expanded into Kodiak. The Juneau office was opened in 1993. In 1995 we established an International Forwarding division and ran it from an office in Seattle, WA. In 2000 we expanded our presence in the Seattle/Tacoma metroplex with the opening of our latest full service agency in Lakewood, WA. In 2002 we started our line-haul fleet that is home based in our Fife Service Center. Today AAA employs over 80 Alaska-based personnel and 20 based Washington personnel. We operate a fleet of over 100 pieces of equipment and we manage over 100,000 square ft of warehouses throughout the system.

In the company's twenty years of operation it has grown from a small local mover to one of Alaska's largest and most respected movers, with service centers in Alaska, Washington and van line connections that allow us to service customers around the state, the nation and the world.
